Student Code of Conduct for Online Learning

Student Code of Conduct for Online Learning

Etiquette For Online Classes
(Session: 2020 – 2022)

Introduction

At IITAE LTD the Students, Parents, and Teachers are the center focus of our curriculum and we are committed to helping everyone with the online teaching and learning classroom during the Covid19 Pandemic.

Learning, we firmly believe is an ongoing process and must go on, even with greater enthusiasm during this Pandemic situation.

Recent events have taught us the need to anticipate the change, respond quickly, and execute effectively. Our dedicated and committed staff from day one have left no stone unturned to adapt to online classroom teaching with a strong determination of performance and accountability.

IITAE LTD offers uniquely progressive 21st-century schooling with special emphasis on nurturing human values, character development, and peace education.

Netiquette (net + etiquette) is the “code of conduct” applied to online spaces. Teaching students about netiquette is just as important (if not more so) as teaching them to use technology or master content. Much like traditional etiquette, which provides rules of conduct in social situations, the purpose of netiquette is to help construct and maintain a pleasant, comfortable, and efficient environment for online communication, as well as to avoid placing strain on the system and generating conflict among users.

IITAE LTD recognizes and strives to meet the individual needs of each student through programs that promote the development of self-esteem, cooperation, and vision. This expanded view of school will result in well-educated, productive, and socially responsible citizens. To this end, we believe the school should reflect the desires and expectations held by our community for our youth, and that the school must provide an environment that ensures the safety and well-being of students. For this reason, it is important that the school provides clear expectations and guidelines for students.

It is our goal to work with parents to instill in each student respect and responsibility. Proper respect must be shown to all students and staff at all times. Ideally, our school is an environment where students are free to learn and grow as individuals, and where staff is free to do its work. For this ideal to become a reality, it is necessary that each individual conform to an ethical code of mutual respect and courtesy, and to recognize that each individual is entitled to certain personal rights. All students have the right:

  1. To learn in an environment that is safe from any type of abuse;
  2. To feel appreciated by hearing and responding with “please” and “thank you”;
  3. To express themselves within each class respectfully, being thoughtful of others.

An important objective of IITAE LTD is to provide an educational climate that assists students in presenting themselves in a manner that promotes a positive and productive online school environment, personal pride, and academic success.
